hello! i too thought the baptism was awesome! I was there to see two of my small group members (kent and cheryl)- amazing to see God work. I did want to say i was a little bit disapointed only because the croud seemed to converge -into the water and nothing could be seen after the first (kent). Would like if it could be maybe said ahead of time that we need to stay behind a "line" during the baptisms (unless it was someone from family, group etc-then get close but pull back after so we all see the rest). Just an FYI - not a complaint because after all.. the point was the folks were there to declare there intention to follow Christ & I was there to celebrate that with them all - it was not, and continues to not, be all about me. ;)

You're the second person to tell about that problem. Not sure why we haven't heard this other years, but we need to figure something out. Thanks for the suggestion.

    • I'm the lead pastor at Five Oaks Community Church, and I'm writing this blog as the lead pastor. That doesn't mean the church (i.e., the people, the Board, the institution) agrees with everything I post in this blog. If it did, I suppose this would be a boring, watered-down, institutional blog. What you get here are some behind the scenes looks into our church and into my head.
